Who We Are
The Annapoorna Charitable Trust strives to provide children with opportunities. This trust created the school, Mithila. Here they try to provide the destitute kids with education and protection.
Our History

Started in 2002 with 16 kids and up to grade 5. Currently we are at 170 students (87 girls, 83 boys) up to grade 7. The children were rescued from being bonded laborers, or they might have been begging for a living.
These retirees envisioned educating these hapless kids.
They had the courage to walk hut-to-hut to convince the kids’ parents on the long-term benefits of educating their children versus short-term earnings.
